In connection with the Ukrainian crisis, Western politicians very often mention the UN Charter, namely those articles of the Charter that speak of the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other countries.
In connection with the Ukrainian crisis, Western politicians very often mention the UN Charter, namely those articles of the Charter that speak of the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other countries.
This week Mark Rutte, NATO Secretary General, gave his first major speech since taking office; see NATO's official website.
Below I would like to comment on some fragments of his speech.
Last
month, S. Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, gave an interview in which - among other things - he expressed
the following thesis:
None of the Republicans who are voicing what is described as “revolutionary ideas” for ending the Ukraine conflict have said that people in Ukraine must regain their right to speak, receive education themselves and ensure the same for their children, as well as have access to information in the Russian language.
And
in this article, I would like to examine in more detail the situation with the
Russian language in Ukraine.
Donald Trump, the Republican presidential
candidate, has a fundamentally different opinion on events in Ukraine compared
to the opinion of Democrats, especially Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
This year marks 80 years since US, British and Canadian troops landed in France to liberate Europe from the Nazis.
Last month, the Republican presidential nominee, the Former
President Donald Trump said
the following about Ms Harris’s role in the Ukrainian crisis:
This
week, NATO's new Secretary General Mark Rutte took office and on the same day
he held a press conference, which of course focused a lot on Ukraine; see the
full text of this press conference on NATO's official website.
Compared to the debate between Joe
Biden and Donald Trump in June, the opponents used the words “Ukraine” and
“Ukrainians” somewhat less often, but they mentioned the name of Vladimir
Putin, the President of Russia, more often.
In April 2022, I published an article entitled Aren't these Ukrainian laws the Nazi ones? where I analyzed some Ukrainian laws on ethnic minorities and came to the conclusion that these laws are similar to Nazi ones.
Last month I published an article entitled Nazi insignia on Ukrainian soldiers in Kursk region,
and today I would like to consider a more general subject about these insignia,
namely, the subject - What does the fact of the free use of such insignia in the
Ukrainian army mean?
This month, two pieces of video footage were released showing Nazi insignia on Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region.
And I would like to analyze these cases to see whether
such cases are isolated and accidental.
In this article, I would like to consider the
question: Why was exactly Volodymyr Zelenskyy elected to the post of Ukrainian
President in 2019?
Western media position themselves as unbiased, but in reality,
they hush up information that is unfavorable to the West.
For example, when reporting on the Ukrainian conflict,
Western media never report on the background of this conflict, namely that
during the so-called Euromaidan - that is during protests from November
2013 to February 2014 in Ukraine - protesters at a certain point began to
burn and kill.
Since there is a misunderstanding in the West about
the goals of Russia's Special Military Operation in Ukraine, I would like to
explain these goals by using the example of the Cuban Crisis of 1962.
In my previous article,
I proposed to look at the Ukraine conflict from a scientific point of view.
And today I would like to analyze this conflict from a
legal point of view.
People in the West say that everything is clear to
them without any science - Russian troops have entered the territory of Ukraine and
it means that Russia is to blame for everything.
In one of his interviews this year, Ukrainian President V. Zelenskyy blamed the entire world for Ukraine's problems; see the quote below:
Is it America's fault, we asked him (Zelenskyy), what's happening now in Kharkiv?
“It's the world's fault,” he replied.
see the ABC News website.
During the Biden-Trump debate last week, the subject of
Ukraine figured prominently. The words “Ukraine” and “Ukrainian” were used 25
times during the debate.
Below I would like to draw your attention to some
points.
In this article I want to consider the question: Who is to blame for destruction of Ukrainian cities?
This question
can be partially answered by finding out who is to blame for the Ukrainian
crisis in general; see my article Has the Russian Special Military
Operation in Ukraine been provoked?
All Western politicians and all Western media say that the Ukrainian crisis allegedly began in the spring of 2014, when the Crimea became a part of the Russian Federation and fighting began in Donbas. But in reality, this crisis began in the fall of 2013. And, in my opinion, this crisis is a completely unnatural phenomenon.
The crisis started on 21 November 2013 after the
decision of the then Ukrainian President Yanukovych to postpone signing the Ukraine–European
Union Association Agreement.
Last weekend, the Summit on Peace in
Ukraine was
held in Switzerland; of course, US Vice President K. Harris and Ukrainian
President V. Zelenskyy took part in this Summit.
Below I am going to comment on excerpts from their speeches.
This weekend, a Summit on Peace in Ukraine will be held in Switzerland. The summit will be attended by prominent Western politicians - French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau etc.
In
my opinion, one of the most important questions at this Summit should be the
question: Why is there no peace now in Ukraine?
At the conference
scheduled for this month in Switzerland, Zelenskyy - in my opinion - will mainly say the same things that he spoke about
at the conference in Munich this year (see the official website of
the President of Ukraine):
“We must follow rules in international politics, but Russia...”
Zelenskyy
used the word “rules” 14 times in the aforementioned speech alone!
In March I published an article dedicated
to the 10th anniversary of the Ukrainian “revolution”, where I wrote a little
about the activities of Western politicians in
the initial period of Euromaidan.
But I believe that the role of these politicians in the emergence and escalation of the Ukrainian crisis deserves a more thorough study.
At the end of February 2014, a coup d’état took place in Ukraine. If you doubt what kind of event it was, you can read my article “Did a coup d’état take place at the end of February 2014 in Ukraine?”
And the present
article deals with the question - Did the West provoke this coup d’état?
At the end of February 2014, i.e. 10 years ago, Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych was unconstitutionally removed from office.
At that time, Western
politicians and Western media tried to present this ousting as a legitimate
act; see below a citation from the BBC website:
The vote to
"remove Viktor Yanukovych from the post of president of Ukraine" was
passed by 328 MPs.
Such ballots,
passed by what is called constitutional majority, are binding and enter into
force with immediate effect, the BBC's Ukraine analyst Olexiy Solohubenko
reports.
Probably,
many have already forgotten that one of the main theses of Ukrainian
protest movement - the so-called Euromaidan - which had begun more than 10
years ago, was the allegation that Ukraine under Yanukovych was a colony of
Russia.
Naturally,
no evidence was given for the above-mentioned allegation, but the present article
deals with the current situation in Ukraine. That is, I
want to consider the question - Is post-Maidan Ukraine an independent country?
In this article, I would like to consider the question - How do Western politicians and Western media inform their citizens about the Ukrainian crisis?
The
examples given in this material below will have the following structure:
A
numbered statement of Western politicians and/or Western media;
My assessment of this statement;
Analysis
of this statement.
