The US President’s accusations against the Ukrainian President remain unproved for 6 years

In my opinion, situation with US support of coup d’état in Ukraine in 2014 very much resembles situation with US invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Pretext for the US invasion of Iraq in 2003 were allegations that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction. But after Iraq had been occupied by NATO forces, no such weapons were ever found.

Pretext for the US government's support of the coup d’état in Ukraine in 2014 were allegations that there was massive corruption in Ukraine under the then president Viktor Yanukovitch. After the coup the US government imposed sanctions on Viktor Yanukovitch, then Barak Obama personally named him a corrupt ruler, see here.

But like the situation with Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, no evidence of Yanukovitch’s corruption has been found until now, although after the coup the new pro-American Ukrainian governments have been looking for such evidence for 6 years.

However, the new Ukrainian rulers nevertheless had to try to convict Yanukovitch in order to justify his unconstitutional removal from presidency. Fearing for his life, Yanukovitch had left Ukraine but he agreed to give evidence to prosecutors and before judges via video link from Russia.

Since the Ukrainian government could not convict Yanukovitch of corruption, it tried to convict him for his letter sent to the Russian government after the coup (at the beginning of March 2014).

In this letter, Yanukovitch wrote that an illegal seizure of power had taken place in Ukraine and there was a threat to life, rights and safety of people, therefore he requested the Russian government to use Russian military forces to restore law, peace, order and stability and to protect the Ukrainian people.

Yanukovych was sentenced to 13 years of jail in absentia for this letter although reality had shown that there really was a threat to life and safety of Ukrainian people. For example, two months after this letter was written, 42 opponents of new Ukrainian rulers were burnt alive in Odessa.

Like the situation with the Yanukovitch’s corruption, the new pro-American Ukrainian governments have been investigating the death of these 42 people for almost 6 years, but no one has been found guilty yet. The Ukrainian police prefers to investigate cruel treatment of animals and does not want to investigate Yanukovitch’s corruption or death of 42 people see here

And the most important point
In my opinion, American citizens bear responsibility for the US President’s allegations, which have been mentioned above, because these citizens had elected this President.
